The International School Chess Festival hosted 75 teams from all over the world!

The Palace of Culture in Ploiesti hosted one of the most prestigious chess competitions in Romania for young chess players. This year 75 teams participated with 5 players (4 players + 1 reserve) from countries such as Greece, Israel, Mexico, Moldova, Ukraine and Romania. The rapid chess competition took place over 7 rounds of about 45 minutes + 10 seconds/move.

The rounds were experienced at maximum intensity by each participant, the aim being to obtain the highest possible score for the club teams. The young chess players showcased their strategic skills, putting on a memorable show for lovers of the mind sport. The first runner-up in this edition was one of the Ukrainian representatives, Lviv Academic Gimn, who managed to win all their matches and score a total of 14 points.

Just two points behind the first place, Otilia Cazimir School from Iasi won silver after an excellent run in the competition and an impressive series of victories against renowned teams. The tie-breaker between 2nd and 3rd place was decided by one point, with School No 10 from Bacau winning bronze.

The competition and the smooth running of the tournament showed us that our involvement has an important contribution to the development of Romanian chess. At the same time, as the main sponsor of the Romanian Chess Federation, we are happy to offer young chess players the opportunity to develop their passion for the mind sport and to enjoy new chess experiences.

Gold at national championships and a Balkan SuperExperience for GO Scholarship athletes!

Although the competitive season has not yet started in all sports, the young talents in the GO Scholarship partner program continue to surprise us with excellent results.

Valentina Necoară, the national record holder in the pole vault in her age category, managed to score double success this season at the national senior and youth championships. The 18-year-old athlete won gold at both national championships after a commendable performance.

Have you heard the latest news from our projects?

Our partnerships are growing month by month, as evidenced by the extraordinary results in performance and education and the impact they have on society.

The summer weeks always surprise us with great news, and projects such as GO Scholarship or Step by Step continue to give young athletes considerable support in building a solid education for a promising future.

New medal wins for the GO Scholarship record!

Champion for years in her age category and national record holder in the pole vault, Valentina Necoară managed to impress the public and the jury at the U20 National Championships. The GO Scholarship partner athlete won the gold medal after an outstanding performance in the pole vault.

The young athlete’s performance was accompanied by Andrei Luca Oprea’s success at the Top 16 Romania U19 tournament. National table tennis champion and participant in the Balkan Championship, Luca won the silver medal after a series of victories against the best players in the country in the U19 category.

Ball sports were in high demand!

The partnership with Rugby Academy kicked off with a memorable friendly tournament for the young athletes in the U6, U8, U10, and U12 categories. Preparatory rugby matches were perfectly timed with team games on the beach, frolicking in the sea waves, and fun-filled evenings with club staff.

Between seasons, the Rugby Academy club staff found the perfect balance between relaxation and performance, giving the young players a memorable camp and beneficial preparation for the upcoming season.

A unique experience was also had by the 2009 squad of the ACP 3 KIDS team. For the first time, the footballers from the capital club had the opportunity to apply the training hours and strategies they learned in an international tournament. ACP 3 KIDS participated in the Copa Cataluna held in Barcelona. In this competition, the players of the partner club debuted with a victory (7-0) against CS D’Hammamalif from Tunisia.

We want to build strong partnerships through which we support sports performance and sports education of the younger generation.

Follow last week’s news from the Superbet Foundation partnerships!

The last week has brought us only good news regarding the evolution of the Superbet Foundation partnerships.

Health, education through sport and performance have been the most targeted areas over the last period and the results have been beyond our expectations.

The Foundation team participated in the Race for the Cure 2023!

As a diamond sponsor, Superbet Foundation was present again this year in the biggest fundraising marathon in Europe. Together we supported one of the most important causes in the medical field to solve an important problem of the medical system in Romania. Romania is still at the top of the ranking in the number of cancer deaths, a problem accentuated by the precarious situation and lack of material possibilities.

Together with our volunteers, we run the Race for the Cure marathon every year to give women in Romania a chance at life when they are unable to get regular check-ups.

An early diagnosis can increase the chance of life of any patient and we, as a diamond sponsor, want to make a significant contribution to saving as many lives as possible.

Performances for the small athletes of the GO Scholarship program.

Ioana Stancu is a gifted sportswoman; her strengths can be seen in everyday life and on the football field. A master in the art of the beautiful game, Ioana won bronze with her team, ACS Fair Play, in the U17 National Championship.

At the same time, her performance was noticed by the jury of the competition, and at the end of the tournament, she was named the best player of the final tournament.

Fellow footballer Răzvan Florea received one of the best news of his career. After a season of outstanding performances for his club team, Răzvan Florea has been called up to Romania’s U17 national team. The GO Scholarship athlete will go on a training camp with the other players in the squad.

The RobotX team has taken its first steps in the International Space Station project!

The team formed by Maria Alexa, Alexandru Budiul, and Luca Rădos took the first steps in the completion of one of the biggest projects of the RobotX partner team.

With the help of a special camera equipped with a special near-infrared filter, the camera managed to capture 931 photos during two rotations around the Earth.

Using these photos, the RobotX team can determine the health of the vegetation on Earth by calculating each pixel in the image using the Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NVDI).

Over the next few days, the team will make all the necessary calculations and the resulting report will be submitted to the European Space Agency at the end of June.

Science is taking small steps towards evolution, and we are happy to be an important support in the development of science and technology.

The Superbet Foundation team participated in the Race for the Cure 2023 marathon!

As the main sponsor, the Superbet Foundation was again present with its team of volunteers at the Race for the Cure marathon.

Ana-Maria Popescu (Brânză) was our team captain again this year, with whom we all left the start line.

We had a great time together, we had fun, we encouraged each other, and we all managed to finish the 5km race we had prepared for. As in other seasons, we wanted our presence to make a significant contribution to supporting the cause we are campaigning for. As the biggest fundraising marathon in Europe, Race for the Cure Romania attracts hundreds of participants from all over the country.

We turned out in large numbers to support one of the most important causes in the medical field.

Still, Romania is among the last countries in terms of the number of cancer diagnoses provided on time. Most women in Romania can`t afford regular check-ups, which prevents them from discovering this disease early.

Together with our partners at the Renaissance Foundation, we want to overcome this medical crisis and raise the alarm for all women across the country.

Prevention must be part of every woman’s priorities, and with the help of this marathon, we aim to save as many lives as possible every year.

We look forward to the next edition of the Race for the Cure marathon, where we will celebrate 10 seasons of Race for the Cure in Romania.
