Have fun and stay healthy! Superbet is a partner of the Responsible Gambling Week

On 6-10 November, Superbet was a partner of the Responsible Gambling Week organised by the industry portal iGamingpolska.pl. This initiative aims to promote responsible gaming and take responsibility for encouraging players to behave safely. – Responsible gambling is a concept I truly relate to. It is, above all, Corporate Social Responsibility for what we do every day – says Łukasz Seweryniak, CEO of Superbet Polska.

The primary purpose of the initiative of iGaming.pl journalists was to promote responsibility in bookmaking by providing readers with quality content: talks with industry experts, advice on self-diagnosis of potentially dangerous gambling behaviour, and to make people struggling with addiction aware of the available tools to help them with self-control and to show them where they can seek specialist help.

The responsible gambling mechanisms used by Superbet clients include setting financial limits, limits on time spent on the game, self-suspension and self-exclusion mechanisms, as well as account deletion. In addition, there are a number of safeguards intended for minors and many other activities.

We have a special unit in the company that deals only with responsible gambling. It has developed a number of mechanisms, the most interesting of which are “real-time reporting”, a system that identifies players’ impulsive behaviour. If something like this happens, the information is forwarded to the adequate department, and the player themselves can receive notifications with tips on how they can better control their gambling. We are also working on a tool that will detect dangerous phrases during a chat with our customer service and identify “risky” customers – says Seweryniak.

A key element of responsible gambling is encouraging customers to behave rationally, treat betting as fun and not a source of income, and to only play for such amounts of money that they can afford to lose painlessly. For more information on this subject go the organiser’s website.

Grow a #SUPERMOUSTACHE for fun and promote cancer prevention!

Do you love sports and fun? You’re really good at it and you like a bit of risk? On the pitch, you value bald moves more than the conservative passing the ball. And that’s very good, but on a daily basis, being safe gives you the highest bonuses!

Each year in Poland, testicular cancer accounts for 25% of cancers detected in men between 15 and 40 years of age. As many as 14 thousand Poles live with this diagnosis. But cancer is not a death sentence. That is why prevention and regular self-examination are so important.

Together with the Kochasz Dopilnuj Foundation and our ambassadors, we joined the global Movember campaign, and in November we worked to increase awareness of the prevention of “male” cancers.– Traditionally, November is the month when we focus on the prevention of testicular and prostate cancers. The first one concerns largely young men, who often do not realise how important regular examination is. In general, our clients and football fans are men, which gives us a special opportunity to reach them with an important message. A moustache has become a symbol of the Movember campaign, so this year, together with our ambassadors and partners from the Kochasz Dopilnuj Foundation, we encourage you to grow and brag about a moustache on social media, all for a good cause – emphasises Łukasz Seweryniak, CEO of Superbet Polska.

In order to draw attention to the campaign, the Superbet logo in our profile photos on social media received an eye-catching moustache, as did our ambassadors in promotional artwork. Above all, however, in cooperation with the Kochasz Dopilnuj Foundation, we have prepared a number of videos with our ambassadors and representatives of partner clubs and sports organisations, who encouraged, in unison, cancer prevention and… growing a moustache. To honour those who grew a #SUPERMOUSTACHE and posted a photo on social media, we have prepared a PLN 10 freebet for everyone who took part in the campaign. In the first days alone, we received over 300 photos from people who followed in the footsteps of Jerzy Dudek, Sławomir Peszko and Tomasz Smokowski by growing a moustache for health.

Superbet Foundation has sponsored the construction of the Medical Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy and Balneotherapy Center in Bicaz!

The health of Romanians continues to be one of the main concerns of the Superbet Foundation, which is why, together with our partners from Volunteer for life, we mobilized and managed to build a Medical Rehabilitation, Kinesiology and Physiotherapy base in Bicaz, Neamt county.

After our efforts to help the Romanian healthcare system during the Covid-19 pandemic, we wanted to take the next step and overcome another crisis in the Romanian healthcare system.

Under the aegis of the Bicaz City Hospital, the Centre for Medical Rehabilitation, Physiotherapy and Balneophysiotherapy is the first specialist centre for the citizens of Bicaz.

Almost all patients in Romania recovering from an injury or severe trauma need physiotherapy services to correct posture, increase muscle strength and cardio-respiratory recovery, and specialist centres have become more than necessary throughout the country.

Our desire has been to improve people’s quality of life and give them easier access to specialist medical services.

For the near future, we are creating goals with a major impact in the health sphere, and with the help of our partners, we continue to build sustainable projects of major importance to society.

Without Barriers with Górnik

As the Main Sponsor of Górnik Zabrze, we proudly support not only the club itself, but also its fans. Superbet’s cooperation with the Górnik Zabrze Disabled Fan Club, under which we work extensively to improve the situation of fans with disabilities at Polish football stadiums, is a crucial element of such support.

During the Great Silesian Derby, i.e. the clash between Górnik and Ruch Chorzów, we actively joined the ongoing “Stadiums without barriers” campaign, honouring the fans with disabilities present at this prestigious meeting. Zabrze can boast one of the largest of such fan clubs, whose members had the opportunity to meet Jerzy Dudek and receive dedicated club scarves before the match against Ruch. In addition, Superbet donated several valuable sports artefacts to be auctioned through its ambassador, and the proceeds from their sale were allocated to the implementation of the statutory goals of the Górnik Zabrze Disabled Fan Club. Collectors and sports fans had the opportunity to obtain a chessboard signed by grandmasters, including Jan-Krzysztof Duda and Magnus Carlsen, a Górnik T-shirt autographed by Lukas Podolski, and a ball signed by Jerzy Dudek.

Yet another step in reducing the barriers between able-bodied and disabled fans was the appearance of the President of the Zabrze KKN, Adam Roczniok, in the morning broadcast of Kanał Sportowy, the most important sports medium on Polish YouTube. In the broadcast, a disabled Górnik fan talked about the association’s activities, joint activities with Superbet and plans for the future, making sports fans from all over Poland aware not only of the existence of fans with disabilities, but also their work for their beloved team.

The Superbet Foundation team participated in the Race for the Cure 2023 marathon!

As the main sponsor, the Superbet Foundation was again present with its team of volunteers at the Race for the Cure marathon.

Ana-Maria Popescu (Brânză) was our team captain again this year, with whom we all left the start line.

We had a great time together, we had fun, we encouraged each other, and we all managed to finish the 5km race we had prepared for. As in other seasons, we wanted our presence to make a significant contribution to supporting the cause we are campaigning for. As the biggest fundraising marathon in Europe, Race for the Cure Romania attracts hundreds of participants from all over the country.

We turned out in large numbers to support one of the most important causes in the medical field.

Still, Romania is among the last countries in terms of the number of cancer diagnoses provided on time. Most women in Romania can`t afford regular check-ups, which prevents them from discovering this disease early.

Together with our partners at the Renaissance Foundation, we want to overcome this medical crisis and raise the alarm for all women across the country.

Prevention must be part of every woman’s priorities, and with the help of this marathon, we aim to save as many lives as possible every year.

We look forward to the next edition of the Race for the Cure marathon, where we will celebrate 10 seasons of Race for the Cure in Romania.

The “Polyclinic without payment” program saves hundreds of patients annually!

Superbet Foundation is the main sponsor of the charity program “Polyclinic without payment”. With our involvement, hundreds of patients benefit from free medical services from the 23 volunteer doctors involved in this program.

The right to health must remain inalienable regardless of the patients’ financial possibilities, and we, in partnership with the Holy Family Foundation, want to offer free medical services to patients unable to secure a regular medical check-up.

In 2022, the “Polyclinic without payment” project had the highest number of beneficiaries. More than 600 patients received medical assistance from the polyclinic staff.

Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, the polyclinic was able to perform ultrasound scans, EKG tests and more than 650 patient treatments.

From year to year, the number of patients dependent on our services increases considerably, and the efforts of the Superbet Foundation and doctors are revealed in the high percentage of patients cured.

At the same time, we have been able to fund other charitable projects for people in need together with the Holy Foundation.

Dozens of families were materially supported with goods and food within the project “Together for a better life”. We also managed to continue funding the “Food Bank”, a project where people in need receive a package of food and hygiene products.

The safety of those around us and increasing the quality of life is part of the Superbet Foundation’s mission. We want to support as many patients as possible throughout Romania and invest in charitable projects with a strong impact on society.

Imunis Association Supports over 140 Cancer Patients in First Half of 2022 with Innovative Programs

The Imunis Association continues to provide crucial support to cancer patients, with over 140 patients enrolled in the Imunis program since January. The program offers various workshops for post-diagnosis life, including nutrition, lifestyle, and support group meetings with physiotherapists and psychotherapists.

Thanks to support from the Superbet Foundation, the Imunis Association has developed several projects for patients enrolled in the program. These projects include the “Mindfulness Post Diagnosis” program, education in oral hygiene, lifestyle post-diagnosis, and podcasts with psychotherapists and physiotherapists.

Since August, the Imunis Association has also partnered with the Cervantes Institute to provide Spanish lessons to patients, as requested by the heroines fighting cancer.

Innovation is a key aspect of the Imunis Association’s vision, as seen in the launch of the “Feminity After Cancer” program by Cosmina Grigore, the association’s president. This unique program aims to recalibrate femininity post-diagnosis, offering patients access to meetings with specialists in the makeup industry, public speaking, body reconnection, clothing stylists, photo shoots with designer dresses, pole dance classes, twerk classes, guided meditations, and a master florist course.

We applaud the Imunis Association’s partners for their support and congratulate the heroines of the Imunis Association for their bravery and resilience.

Superbet Foundation participates in the 22nd annual “Light Up in Pink” event

The Renașteara Foundation and Superbet Foundation partnered once again to organize the 22nd edition of the “Lighting in Pink” event, held annually on October 1st. This event, which aims to honor breast cancer survivors and promote breast cancer prevention, involves illuminating an iconic building in the capital city of Bucharest in pink.

This year, the CEC Palace was chosen as the illuminated building. The event was attended by notable figures, including Mihaela Geoană, President of the Renaștearea Foundation, Prof. Dr. Patriciu Achimaş Cadariu, Deputy and President of the Group for the Fight Against Cancer in the Romanian Parliament, Senator Nicoleta Pauliuc, a breast cancer survivor herself, and Alexia Eram, daughter of the presenter Andreea Esca.

The event also had an impact on the Romanian Superliga, as the 16 teams present in the top football league wore pink shirts during one stage of their games, alongside a banner displaying the international symbol of breast cancer awareness, the pink bow. This gesture represents a significant step forward in promoting breast cancer prevention.

As the main sponsor of the Renașteara Foundation, the Superbet Foundation is pleased to be a part of such an important event and hopes that its message reaches as many women as possible in Romania.

Superbet Foundation and Imunis Association Row Together in Titan Kayak-Canoe Cup 2022

Sports and passions have a way of bringing people together. The Superbet Foundation team is thrilled to participate alongside the SuperHeroines of the Imunis Association in the second edition of this year’s Titan Kayak-Canoe Cup.

Challenges have always been a part of the lives of the Imunis team survivors, but rowing in unison in the dragon boat has given them the chance to rediscover a new passion and a reason to continue living a healthy lifestyle. During the June edition of the Titan Cup, the Superbet Foundation team embraced the opportunity to row alongside the Imunis heroines in an official competition.

Although experience was not our team’s strong suit, we fell in love with water sports from the very first participation, and it was an impetus for us to prepare for the next competition. We look forward to seeing everyone on September 10th!

The Superbet Foundation crew is becoming more experienced with each practice. The joy of paddling and the beautiful atmosphere in the dragon boat motivate us to be in sync and efficient with every length of the lake we cover.

Our team is now complete, and we feel more prepared than ever for the race on September 10th.

The most important thing for us is to enjoy the goodwill of the competition that we share with the SuperHeroines of the Imunis Association. At the same time, the awards session allows us to hear stories from the biggest competitions and sit next to Romania’s most successful kayak-canoe athletes.

The superheroines are getting ready for New Zealand!

The Imunis Dragons team is made up exclusively of breast cancer survivors, and the support of the Superbet Foundation has given them the opportunity to continue their recovery through indoor and outdoor rowing.

Their dream for 2023 is to join teams from around the world made up of breast cancer survivors at the New Zealand International Festival. With the help of the Superbet Foundation, the Imunis Dragons continue their training both indoors and outdoors for this competition. It will be a historic moment for our partners, and we are keeping our fingers crossed for an honorable competition next year.

Race for Cure 2022 – Superbet Foundation together with more than 20 stars and personalities from Romania are raising money for the prevention and fight against cancer

The Superbet Foundation, represented by the president Augusta Dragic, together with stars and personalities such as Andreea Esca, Mihaela Geoană, Cristiana Copos, Camelia Șucu, Anamaria Popescu (Brînza), Dana Deac, Dana Rogoz, Adelina Pestrițu, Anca Serea, Sabina Iosub, Mihaela Bîrzilă , Smaranda Vornicu-Shalit, Laura Fronoiu, Sonia Argint Ionescu, Liana Stanciu, Oana Tache, Roxana Voloseniuc, Nicola and Silvia Dumitrescu join the RACE FOR CURE event, organized by the Renașterea Foundation, on June 5, at the “Iolanda Balaș Soter” stadium in Bucharest. It will be a special race through which donations will be collected to help women in Romania have access to investigations and treatments to prevent and fight breast and cervical cancer.

Romania thus joins the 32 European countries in the international charity event “Race for the Cure”, now in its eighth edition, which resumes this year in physical format.

Also, the 2022 edition is held under the auspices of the Presidential Administration, the Patronage of the Italian Embassy in Bucharest and has as institutional partners the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, the Romanian Athletics Federation.

In the days leading up to the event on June 5, the co-founder and president of the Superbet Foundation, Augusta Dragic, a surgeon, wanted to share the specialist’s perspective on the importance of regular medical check-ups.

“For the third consecutive year, we support the Campaigns dedicated to Women’s Health. Screening can prevent thousands of cancer deaths. We now have modern mammography programs that can reduce breast cancer mortality by more than 40%, according to current statistics. In fact, the more than 50% decrease in the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer in the last 3 decades is largely due to screening with the Pap test. There are only a few numbers that I mention to remind you what we all know – good guard, prevention in this case, passes the bad danger”, Dragic commented.

For his part, Mr. Dr. Marius Geantă, the president of InoMed – Center for Innovation in Medicine, spoke to us about personalized prevention and how people with influence in social media and, in general, with notoriety in the public space, can keep their healthy online communities.

In addition to attending the physical race in Bucharest, residents from other cities or the diaspora can support and donate to Romanian women for the prevention and fight against breast and cervical cancer, through the European platform. Registrations and donations for Romania can also be made on the website. One registration in the race is 50 lei and will turn into a Babes-Pap test, and 4 registrations will be equivalent to a mammogram.

JUNE 5, CHARITY AND FUN

The participants in the race on June 5, at the “Iolanda Balaș Soter” Stadium, will enjoy, together with family, colleagues, friends, a lot of surprises – warm-up program with music, educational games and fun activities for children, photo fun booth , obviously prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category (women and men – 5,000 m, winners in the fight against cancer – 2,500 m, girls 5-7 years, 8-10 years, 11-14 years – 2,500 m, Boys 5-7 years, 8-10 years, 11-14 years – 2,500 m).

For the employees of the Superbet Group who register for the “Race for Cure”, the Superbet Foundation will donate the registration fees, to encourage as many colleagues as possible to participate.

“In recent years, Superbet had the largest team at “Race for Cure”. And this year we hope it will be the same, especially since we are returning to the physical format. In the Superbet family, all colleagues are encouraged to exercise, to have a healthy lifestyle and also to help every time they have the opportunity”, says Dragic.
