Follow last week’s news from the Superbet Foundation partnerships!

The last week has brought us only good news regarding the evolution of the Superbet Foundation partnerships.

Health, education through sport and performance have been the most targeted areas over the last period and the results have been beyond our expectations.

The Foundation team participated in the Race for the Cure 2023!

As a diamond sponsor, Superbet Foundation was present again this year in the biggest fundraising marathon in Europe. Together we supported one of the most important causes in the medical field to solve an important problem of the medical system in Romania. Romania is still at the top of the ranking in the number of cancer deaths, a problem accentuated by the precarious situation and lack of material possibilities.

Together with our volunteers, we run the Race for the Cure marathon every year to give women in Romania a chance at life when they are unable to get regular check-ups.

An early diagnosis can increase the chance of life of any patient and we, as a diamond sponsor, want to make a significant contribution to saving as many lives as possible.

Performances for the small athletes of the GO Scholarship program.

Ioana Stancu is a gifted sportswoman; her strengths can be seen in everyday life and on the football field. A master in the art of the beautiful game, Ioana won bronze with her team, ACS Fair Play, in the U17 National Championship.

At the same time, her performance was noticed by the jury of the competition, and at the end of the tournament, she was named the best player of the final tournament.

Fellow footballer Răzvan Florea received one of the best news of his career. After a season of outstanding performances for his club team, Răzvan Florea has been called up to Romania’s U17 national team. The GO Scholarship athlete will go on a training camp with the other players in the squad.

The RobotX team has taken its first steps in the International Space Station project!

The team formed by Maria Alexa, Alexandru Budiul, and Luca Rădos took the first steps in the completion of one of the biggest projects of the RobotX partner team.

With the help of a special camera equipped with a special near-infrared filter, the camera managed to capture 931 photos during two rotations around the Earth.

Using these photos, the RobotX team can determine the health of the vegetation on Earth by calculating each pixel in the image using the Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NVDI).

Over the next few days, the team will make all the necessary calculations and the resulting report will be submitted to the European Space Agency at the end of June.

Science is taking small steps towards evolution, and we are happy to be an important support in the development of science and technology.

The Superbet Foundation team participated in the Race for the Cure 2023 marathon!

As the main sponsor, the Superbet Foundation was again present with its team of volunteers at the Race for the Cure marathon.

Ana-Maria Popescu (Brânză) was our team captain again this year, with whom we all left the start line.

We had a great time together, we had fun, we encouraged each other, and we all managed to finish the 5km race we had prepared for. As in other seasons, we wanted our presence to make a significant contribution to supporting the cause we are campaigning for. As the biggest fundraising marathon in Europe, Race for the Cure Romania attracts hundreds of participants from all over the country. 

We turned out in large numbers to support one of the most important causes in the medical field.

Still, Romania is among the last countries in terms of the number of cancer diagnoses provided on time. Most women in Romania can`t afford regular check-ups, which prevents them from discovering this disease early.

Together with our partners at the Renaissance Foundation, we want to overcome this medical crisis and raise the alarm for all women across the country.

Prevention must be part of every woman’s priorities, and with the help of this marathon, we aim to save as many lives as possible every year.

We look forward to the next edition of the Race for the Cure marathon, where we will celebrate 10 seasons of Race for the Cure in Romania.

Superbet Foundation participates in the 22nd annual “Light Up in Pink” event

The Renașteara Foundation and Superbet Foundation partnered once again to organize the 22nd edition of the “Lighting in Pink” event, held annually on October 1st. This event, which aims to honor breast cancer survivors and promote breast cancer prevention, involves illuminating an iconic building in the capital city of Bucharest in pink.

This year, the CEC Palace was chosen as the illuminated building. The event was attended by notable figures, including Mihaela Geoană, President of the Renaștearea Foundation, Prof. Dr. Patriciu Achimaş Cadariu, Deputy and President of the Group for the Fight Against Cancer in the Romanian Parliament, Senator Nicoleta Pauliuc, a breast cancer survivor herself, and Alexia Eram, daughter of the presenter Andreea Esca.

The event also had an impact on the Romanian Superliga, as the 16 teams present in the top football league wore pink shirts during one stage of their games, alongside a banner displaying the international symbol of breast cancer awareness, the pink bow. This gesture represents a significant step forward in promoting breast cancer prevention.

As the main sponsor of the Renașteara Foundation, the Superbet Foundation is pleased to be a part of such an important event and hopes that its message reaches as many women as possible in Romania.

The Superbet Foundation was present at the 21st edition of the “Lighting in Pink” event

Starting from 2020, the Superbet Foundation, as the main sponsor of the Renaștearea Foundation, is showing its support to the heroines who beat breast cancer by lighting up one of the capital’s beautiful buildings in pink.

Prevention is the best way to maintain the best possible state of health or to find out in time if there is a problem, to intervene before it is too late. The “Iluminare en roz” event has as its first goal to bring prevention back to the attention of women everywhere.

Starting at 19:00, we were present in front of the former Marmorosch Bank building in the Old Center of Bucharest, to watch the light show dedicated to the heroines who defeated one of the most dangerous diseases of the moment. Completed by the solidarity of the participants, the color pink acquired a strong meaning, being a message of support intended for all women fighting this disease.

We gathered in great numbers!

The presence of the Superbet Foundation was also felt by the large number of participants in the “Iluminarii in Roz” preparatory event, namely the RACE FOR CURE race, organized with the same goal, that of the fight against breast cancer. As in 2020, the Superbet Foundation team was the most numerous.

Lack of time is a problem we all face, but we firmly believe that health comes first, and a regular checkup should be part of every woman’s schedule.

Unfortunately, far too many women also encounter financial problems or live too far from a hospital or simply do not have the necessary medical education, which prevents them from ensuring a periodic checkup to prevent medical complications. Here we assumed the mission of being Superheroes and managed, together with the Renașteara Foundation, to provide them with some of the necessary support, through the campaigns carried out.

SuperAmbassadors showed their support

This year’s edition of “Iluminarii in Roz” was hosted by the well-known presenter Andreea Esca, and among the participating personalities were also our SuperAmbassadors, Ana Maria Popescu (Brânza) and Cătălin Moroșanu. Our champions each gave a speech on the importance of breast cancer prevention and sent a clear call to all women. “Go to the doctor and take care of your own health”

The first among donors!

We like to be the first when it comes to helping others, which is why the volunteers of the Superbet team donated this year, as in 2020, the largest amount of money to help women who are unable to provide a periodic medical check-up.
