The good news continues for RobotX team!

RobotX

The outstanding projects that the RobotX team prepares in the workshop in Hunedoara attract more and more awards and qualifications in the competitive world of robotics. Passionate about robotics and united like a family, the little scientists of the RobotX team managed to complete an important project in the robotics club and to offer a small part of their experience to several children from the school in the village of Teliucu-Inferior. The results were also quick to come for them, and the qualifications and competitive experiences brought immeasurable satisfaction to the teenagers in the club.

Alexia Neamțu is back after a SuperExperience in Houston!

Qualified for the Dean’s List Award grand final, Alexia went to Houston with her mentor Adrian Budiul to present her projects to the American jury. It was a whole new experience for the young finalist. As a student ambassador, Alexia represented Romania and the RobotX club at the most prestigious competition in the world of robotics.

Although her projects were appreciated by the American jury, Alexia was not among the 10 winners of this edition, but the fabulous experience and the opportunity to exhibit her own creations at the highest level represented the greatest joy for our countrywoman. We congratulate her and keep our fingers crossed for her in future competitions.

Maria is a Rise for the World finalist!

A member of the RobotX team and a finalist in the international Rise for the World project, Maria is ready to take robotics to the next level. The Rise for the World project offers winners study facilities and funding for sustainable projects to save humanity.

Maria has prepared an excellent solution for heating and cooling homes using thermoelectric module panels.

Last year, Brianna achieved a unique feat and won the Rise for the World final. This year, Maria is following in her footsteps with a revolutionary idea to tackle one of the biggest crises facing humanity. We are confident in Maria’s project and support her all the way.

ROSPIN’s fantastic 6

Six students, members of the RobotX and RavenTech teams, have completed the project for the Romanian Space Initiative (ROSPIN).

Alex Budiul, Maria Alexa, Andrei Mitican, Sebastian Duman and Alexia Ioana Neamțu designed a mission to the Moon in which thermoelectric panels can be used to power the future lunar station.

They have succeeded in making preliminary calculations for a rocket that can send 20T of payload into space. Their plan was to equip a lunar base and create a lunar geolocation satellite system and a telecommunications satellite system for the far side of the moon.

Their plan also involves sending an electron accelerator to the moon to test the possibility of electrostatic deflection of dangerous asteroids.

A joy for the little ones, a joy for us!

In their free time when innovation and projects take their own break, RobotX team members share their passion with rural school students.

At the end of April, the RobotX team paid a visit to students at Teliucu-Inferior Secondary School. They were quickly captivated by the magic of robots and the science behind them, which sparked interactive discussions between the team and the little learners.

Passions are shared, and our partners at RobotX love to show the little ones some of the mysteries of robotics.

Education and chess make a perfect team in the Step-by-Step project

Funded by the Superbet Foundation and realized with the support of the Step-by-Step Association and the Kasparov Foundation, the Step-by-step project aims to integrate chess into the school curriculum of Romanian students.

Today, the Superbet Foundation team visited the little students in one of the schools in the capital. The chess-themed game and exercises that the teachers prepared for the students in the class awakened them with overflowing enthusiasm and joy.

At the beginning of the class, each student chose the subject they want to deepen through chess, and depending on their choices, the teachers provided them with a series of interactive games and exercises.

In a single hour, our team went through a carousel of information, from the biggest secrets of mathematics to the “detective” game where we had to discover new words together.

With the help of the SuperGambit boards, but also of the teaching staff, we managed to attract the attention of children of all ages and instill in them the passion and attraction towards the mind sport.

Currently, the Step-by-Step program is carried out in 22 educational institutions benefiting more than 2850 students from all over the country. We want the Step-by-Step project initiated by our partners to expand to as many schools as possible in the country and to give all students the opportunity to discover the secrets of chess.

Superbet Foundation continues its partnership with the TotusTuus Association

The Superbet Foundation continues its partnership with the TotusTuus Association!

The Superbet Foundation continues to support the projects organized by the TotusTuss Association. Father Thomas organizes periodic camps for children of all ages to strengthen their personalities and learn new scouting skills.

Education is the foundation of every character, and father Răileanu organizes camps with a Christian theme to provide a healthy education to young scouts and to bring them closer to the beauty of nature.

This year, the TotusTuus Association organized 6 camps, accompanied by 4-5 outdoor activities every month. The hundreds of children who attended these camps and activities could enjoy music workshops, nature trips, crafts, explorations or team games.

The teams of the nicknamed little ones and the teams of “wolf cubs” enjoyed an adventure themed after the Jungle Book. During a vacation, the little ones were Mowgli’s friends and helped with various “jungle” activities.

This year, father Thomas Răileanu is preparing 3 more camps for children between the ages of 7 and 17.

The scouts will go on a new adventure on the mountain at Vama Buzăului, where they will pitch their tents and enjoy various activities throughout the day.

We are happy to be with them and hope that our involvement will give the children the satisfaction and lessons they need.

Michael Khodarkovsky, president of the Kasparov Foundation, challenged to a game of chess by one of the students of the Step by Step Middle School

Michael Khodarkovsky, President of the Kasparov Foundation was challenged to a game of chess by one of the students of the Step by Step Middle School where the foundation’s chess textbooks established by Garry Kasparov are used in a pilot program supported by the Superbet Foundation.

Present in Bucharest for the opening stage of the international chess circuit, Grand Chess Tour 2022, a circuit endowed with total prizes of 1.4 million dollars, Michael Khodarkovsky visited the Step by Step Secondary School on the very day the educational institution celebrated its anniversary 10 years of existence.

The great champion was accompanied by Tereza Pribanova, vice-president of the international tournament, Anastasia Karlovych, Ukrainian chess grandmaster and Augusta Dragic, president of the Superbet Foundation.

The students had the extraordinary opportunity to receive advice from one of the greatest international champions, but also to ask him for his autograph on the manual of which he is the co-author.

At the end of the visit, Vlad Buturuga, a student in the 4th grade, challenged Michael Khodarkovsky to a game of chess, a challenge accepted with delight. The game was played digitally, on a laptop. Broadcast with the help of the video projector, the game was opened by Vlad, who consulted throughout the match with his colleagues, which helped him to build a strong game strategy and have a broad vision of the match.

The game did not have a winner because Vlad had the ability to retire, to the amazement of his colleagues who did not understand this decision in the first moments. However, Michael Khodarkovsky thanked his playing partner and explained to the students who witnessed the game that in chess there are such moments and that they do not mean that the player is cowardly or uncompetitive if he gives up the game, but only shows that he understands very well well the evolution of the game and is aware of the moments when he has to give up.

The Step by Step Secondary School is one of the five educational units in which the methodology developed by the Garry Kasparov Foundation is used and condensed into a kit of three textbooks, within the pilot program carried out by the Step by Step Center and financed by the Superbet Foundation.

The program that started in February includes five educational institutions (three schools and two kindergartens) from several cities. 300 chess sets were purchased and distributed, and 10 of these are used in learning activities benefiting 200 refugee children from Ukraine.
