We start the year with a SuperDonation – Superbet purchased a 125,000 euro ambulance for Matei Balș Institute!

We promised ourselves that in 2022 we would be at least as active in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. For this reason, we chose to step right from the first days and make a SuperDonation to the “tip of the spear” of the health system in Romania, the Matei Balș Institute.

The 5th wave of the pandemic is fast approaching, and the resources of medical institutions are running out every moment. The management of the hospital informed us of what would be the greatest need, and Superbet mobilized in record time and handed them a new, emergency-ready ambulance.

The ambulance was equipped according to the requirements of the hospital management, being aligned with European equipment standards. For us it may be a simple ambulance, but for those fighting the Sars-Cov-2 virus it may represent the chance at life they need.

SuperAmbassador Virgil Stănescu handed the key to the hospital representatives!

The former basketball player, Virgil Stănescu, was with the Superbet team at the handover of the vehicle worth 125,000 euros. For the first time, Virgil Stănescu got behind the wheel of an ambulance and drove it to the hospital yard. The moment of handing over the key to the new ambulance was emotional for everyone, especially since it arrived at the hospital in a period of great crisis for the health system.

Following this moment, the former basketball player declared “Sports bring people together. The same is the case with this kind of actions by which we get involved and help, and the Superbet Foundation already has a track record from this point of view. Its existence largely overlapped with the two years of the pandemic that changed our lives, and all the support given during this time, including today’s action, aims to restore a normality”

We all want to get back to normal, but until then we must take care of our health and that of those around us. As an exhortation to caution, Mr. Adrian Marinescu, director of the Matei Balș Institute, stated: “In the context of the fifth wave of the pandemic, for which we are preparing, the new ambulance received today supports the general effort to deal with the number of hospitalizations and interventions, which will increase from one day to the next, starting from the second part of January”.

We are aware that the danger is always among us and we hope that our efforts will make an important contribution to saving the lives of patients and equipping the health system in Romania.

Together we can make Romania a safer and better place for everyone, we just have to want and contribute to this.

SuperHeroes brought the spirit of Christmas into the homes of many families!

In the Superbet family, the Christmas holiday is the best opportunity to be closer to each other and do good deeds together. In life, we do not all leave with equal opportunities, but with a little involvement and a dose of mobilization, we were able to bring joy to the hearts of several needy families across the country. Superbet team members mobilized in different regions and organized charitable actions for families and children in difficult situations from their own funds.

The Superbet Foundation is always with those who want to help and has decided to support all charitable activities, doubling the amount collected by the Superbet teams. The Christmas holiday was very special in the year 2021, and the joy of the Superbet team and the families who crossed the threshold was visible from the first moments.

Santa Claus arrived for the first time in Brașov, Sibiu and Mureș!

The local teams of these counties mobilized in record time and managed to quickly raise 4,230 lei through the involvement of employees. Their initiative and promptness was amazing, which is why the Superbet Foundation broke the ice for humanitarian projects this Christmas and doubled this amount. Thus, the local teams allowed themselves to fill their bags with more surprises for them and added several needy families from these counties to the list of recipients. As we expected, the children were the first to welcome the SuperHeroes from the team with smiles of joy and good cheer. To everyone’s surprise, not the sweets, but the oranges were the most appreciated by them, which motivated our colleagues to supplement the bag with even more fruit.

The Superheroes also flew to Banat!

The cities of Timișoara, Pecica and Lipova were the next targets on the map of Santa’s gifts. The Superbet team from Banat was active during the holidays and managed to collect 2,930 lei. With the help of the Superbet Foundation, we doubled the balance for needy families in these areas and managed to surprise them with even more gifts. Food was the basis for them, but the joy of the holidays is never complete without gifts. In addition to the essential foods on the Christmas table, the team from Banat surprised them with various gifts. It was certainly a memorable Christmas for needy families in the 3 cities, and next year we will be with them again around the holidays.

Santa’s elves were also present in the countryside!

Life in the countryside has many beautiful aspects, but often has its difficult parts. Many families in the villages of Romania live without many financial possibilities. However, their love for each other and the unity they show is heartwarming. Colleagues from Superbet also mobilized for such families, and with the help of the Superbet Foundation, they managed to purchase gifts and food worth 3,200 lei. The happiness was enormous when the Superheroes arrived in the villages of Telna and Mihalț in Alba County. Although modest living made its presence felt in the homes of the two families visited, joy and smiles had a place of honor on the faces of parents and children. Clothes, toys, sweets and fruit were indispensable under the tree this year, and the shortages did not make their presence felt like in previous years. It was also an enormous joy for our colleagues to be able to share smiles and gifts, and the beautiful experience motivated them to come back with other surprises in the following years.

We turn the holidays into a miracle for everyone! The Superbet Foundation is with the TotusTuus Association!

The holiday season is fast approaching, but unfortunately not everyone has the opportunity to fully enjoy the fairytale atmosphere of Christmas.

Miracles exist and are made by people willing to help others. We strongly believe in equal opportunity and want a better life for the needy families supported by the TotusTuus Association.

For this reason, we thought of being with father Thomas Ioan Raileanu this year as well, in supporting needy families. Through the TotusTuus Association, it will give gifts on the holy day of Christmas to the less fortunate, and on New Year’s Eve they will be able to spend as they say, with a full meal and joy in their souls.

With souls full of faith and the desire to do good, each of us can be a help to the less fortunate.

We are glad that we have the chance to bring a touch of joy to others on the threshold of the holidays and we hope that this Christmas will be a very special one for the families supported by father Răileanu.

Father Răileanua also organized camps for needy children during the summer.

Over 100 oxygen concentrators and 3000 masks have arrived at hospitals in the country

The Superbet Foundation is always ready to lend a helping hand!

The Sars-Cov-2 virus did not stop for a second from making victims. So we decided to once again give a helping hand to the heroes in white coats, those on the front line. The fight for them is more than exhausting. An effective device could help them in this endless battle in which hundreds of people fight for life every day. The 110 devices distributed to hospitals in the country give them the opportunity to fight the disease more effectively.

With confidence in our souls and hope for the best, we chose to equip 67 hospitals in the country with 110 oxygen concentrators and 3000 related masks, professional materials with which doctors can save thousands of patients.

Every life saved means a lot to us, which is why we decided to mobilize in record time to send the concentrators to the medical facilities in the country. At the beginning of November, we received a first shipment of 10 concentrators, devices that benefited hospitals in crisis situations, from the cities of Pitesti, Craiova, Turnu Măgurele and Timișoara. Until the middle of November, we managed to complete the distribution of another 100 oxygen concentrators and 3000 masks.

When the concentrators were distributed, dozens of volunteers from the Superbet Group were present, as well as important personalities from the world of sports: Ana Maria Popescu, Cătălin Moroșanu, Ilie Dumitrescu, Virgil Stănescu, Vali Moraru and Bogdan Stelea.

The Superbet ambassadors showed their support for the doctors on the front line and participated in loading the devices that were to be sent to the hospitals in the country.

The action initiated and financed by the Superbet Group, to which INACO and Dentotal contributed with the logistical effort, was received with gratitude by the medical staff.

“As the beneficiary of 3 concentrators and 90 oxygen masks, we would like to thank you for the joint efforts to manage the COVID19 pandemic and for the help provided. Being an emergency hospital, we are overloaded during this period, having between 250-300 positively confirmed patients under permanent observation. Some are hospitalized in hospital wards (ATI Covid, Intermediate Therapy, DTA) and another, waiting, at the UPU. The need for oxygen is very high”, says Dr. Socea Bogdan, manager of the St. Pantelimon Emergency Clinical Hospital in Bucharest.

Every initiative counts, and we hope that the action of the Superbet Foundation will be a first step towards bringing the medical system to an optimal level in order to save the lives of as many patients as possible.

With a lot of caution, together we can get through this pandemic and bring back normalcy to our lives. We all miss the moments of full freedom, but our health and that of those around us is above all. Show that you care and take care of yourself!

Superbet Foundation helps Bagdasar Hospital in the fight against Covid-19

Covid 19 has sounded the alarm for each of us, but unfortunately, the fight against this relentless disease has become increasingly difficult for the health system and for the heroes in hospitals, on the front line.

October 2021 – Bagdasar Arseni Hospital was facing a major problem, a failure of two of the oxygen machines that the hospital has. Patients’ lives were at stake.

The Superbet Foundation takes a stand: it immediately equips the hospital with two more oxygen concentrators, absolutely necessary devices for patients admitted to the ATI. Borderline situations require quick solutions.

In high-risk situations, we are aware that our involvement can make a difference, and the fight against Covid-19 has motivated us to be more united in saving patients seriously affected by this virus.

Doctors have the first merit in saving patients, but their efforts must be complemented by specialized equipment and financial resources. This is where we decided to intervene, and the endowment of the Bagdasar-Arseni Hospital is just another step in what it means to involve the Superbet Foundation in the anti-Covid fight, after the actions taken starting from spring 2020.

Until the end of November 2021, the Superbet Foundation will donate to several hospitals, some of the most necessary medical equipment – oxygen concentrators, to help the Romanian health system overcome the consequences of the Covid-19 virus.

We are aware that only together we can save lives. Together we will get through this pandemic. The doctors do their duty with abundance (and we thank them for their superhuman efforts to save others). The Superbet Foundation is with them.

What can you do? Get vaccinated and take all the protective measures you need!

The Superbet Foundation together with the authors of the “Don’t Take Them for Granted” project

Bucharest, October 13, 2020  –  For those who may still doubt that the COVID-19 infection is as serious as it gets, a collection of photos documenting over 70 hours of the fight against COVID-19 can be seen in  George Square Enescu  from Bucharest.

It is about the  “Don’t Take Them for Granted” project,  dedicated to the medical staff and all those on the front line, who have been fighting the virus day by day for eight months. There are impressive moments captured even in the ATI wards of three Bucharest hospitals – the National Institute of Infectious Diseases “Prof. Dr. Matei Balș”, the ROL 2 Military Hospital and the University Emergency Hospital.

The Superbet Foundation, together with three other companies and entities such as ARCUB, Bucharest City Hall and the Ministry of Defense made possible the step to transform the invisible into the visible: two artists,  Cristian Movilă  and  Capucine Gros  , photographed the doctors of the three hospitals, even on the battlefield with a disease that  has already claimed  over a million victims worldwide and over 5,400 in Romania.

“Involvement in ‘ Do n’t take them for granted ‘ is a continuation of the Superbet  Foundation’s efforts to be  with those who save lives .  If from March until now we have chosen to concretely help the medical staff with protective equipment, biocides and tests, this time we have chosen an artistic project that highlights the superefforts that some of our peers make every day. I was impressed not only by the access for the public eye to the scenes of the battle for life, but also by this call for empathy and the need for community solidarity in such moments of crisis”,  said Augusta Dragic, president of the Superbet Foundation and a surgeon by profession.

The artist Capucine Gros wanted to explain one of the powerful messages of the new photo-documentary – “……  remembering that we are all someone’s child is a simple and accessible idea. But on a much deeper level, it makes us see everyone else as an invisible interconnected web and not as solitary individuals. In times like these, we need empathy, solidarity and a real understanding of what the strength of a community can mean.”

The project initiated by the UNFINISHED community also benefited from the collaboration of the actor Benedict Cumberbatch (voice over) and the gallant Chilean conceptual artist, Alfredo Jaar, recently named the winner of the prestigious HASSELBLAD prize for photography.

Starting from October 9, 2020, the installation is open to the public in George Enescu Square in Bucharest, and in the online environment, the project can be viewed on  https://superbetfoundation.com,   https://notforgranted.org, either via  Vimeo or  YouTube.

We remind you that within the #PariemPeBine campaign ,  initiated since  March this year, the Superbet Foundation donated protective equipment, tests and biocides to 35 hospitals in Romania. The effort was supported in partnership with two other Associations –  INACO  and  Zi de bine .

Through the Superbet Foundation, the Superbet Group, the largest sports betting operator in Romania, regularly runs CSR programs through which it gets involved in the life of the community.

Partnership with the Aspen Institute Romania

Since 2008, when it was just a business initiative, the Superbet Group has been inspired to also be a way to support a better life for our employees and their families, especially for future generations.

Having the same values as the democracies of the European Union and the US, we have identified our aspirations and goals with the goals of the “Play for Life 2019” program, which aims to initiate a process of developing the physical education of children in Romania between the ages of 5 and 12, for to boost their ability, confidence and desire to be active for life.

Wanting to generate support for the adoption of a National Physical Activity Plan and to confirm physical activity as a national priority for Romania, the Superbet Foundation recently joined this national initiative and established a partnership with the ASPEN ROMANIA Institute by sponsoring the first edition of the “Play for Life” organized between September 25-26, 2019, in Bucharest.

By establishing a partnership with the “Play for Life 2019” Program, we are committed to strengthening national efforts for informal and informed dialogue within a multi-stakeholder program community from the public, private, non-governmental and academic sectors.
