Pink Polish Autumn
Golden Polish autumn in October shows its most beautiful, most colorful face. To all the colors that nature delights us with, we can calmly add one more – pink. Because October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the entire campaign associated with it is called Pink October. Superbet joined the campaign and donated 6000 złoty to the Eye to Eye with Cancer Foundation (Fundacja Oko w Oko z Rakiem).
‘We are pleased that we managed to engage the entire Superbet community. We are convinced that thanks to this, we reached a large group of people and persuaded at least some of them to get tested,’ says Katarzyna Gawlik, Marketing Director of Superbet Polska.
Indeed, the reach of the campaign was spectacular. All partner clubs were involved in the communication – GKS Katowice, GKS Tychy, Górnik Zabrze, Lech Poznań, and Wisła Kraków, representatives of Super Regio, and the futsal league. Additionally, Superbet organized a contest via social media to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer. As if that wasn’t enough, pink LED bands appeared at the match, and the players of GKS Katowice wore pink armbands.
The center of Superbet’s Pink October campaign was in Katowice. During the match of the GKS Katowice women’s team against Górnik Łęczna, the first edition of Pink October by Superbet took place. For every goal scored by the Katowice players, the bookmaker donated 1000 złoty to the Oko w Oko z Rakiem Foundation. The ladies won 2-0, so the calculation was simple – two thousand złoty went to the foundation’s account.
Additionally, before the match, fans could meet with representatives of the foundation, who had all the necessary information about breast cancer prevention.
But that wasn’t the end, as the GieKSa players invited their club colleagues to compete and challenged them, which they gladly accepted. This time, the men’s goals in the match against Śląsk were valued by Superbet at 1000 złoty. Unfortunately, the GKS Katowice players did not fulfill the task, as they did not score a single goal, but Superbet took the initiative and added 4000 złoty for the 4 points scored in the two teams’ matches, to settle this bet and transferred an additional four thousand złoty to the Oko w Oko z Rakiem Foundation’s account.
‘We hope that we managed to persuade a few women to get tested, which can save lives,’ concludes Katarzyna Gawlik.”
