Follow last week’s news from the Superbet Foundation partnerships!

The last week has brought us only good news regarding the evolution of the Superbet Foundation partnerships.

Health, education through sport and performance have been the most targeted areas over the last period and the results have been beyond our expectations.

The Foundation team participated in the Race for the Cure 2023!

As a diamond sponsor, Superbet Foundation was present again this year in the biggest fundraising marathon in Europe. Together we supported one of the most important causes in the medical field to solve an important problem of the medical system in Romania. Romania is still at the top of the ranking in the number of cancer deaths, a problem accentuated by the precarious situation and lack of material possibilities.

Together with our volunteers, we run the Race for the Cure marathon every year to give women in Romania a chance at life when they are unable to get regular check-ups.

An early diagnosis can increase the chance of life of any patient and we, as a diamond sponsor, want to make a significant contribution to saving as many lives as possible.

Performances for the small athletes of the GO Scholarship program.

Ioana Stancu is a gifted sportswoman; her strengths can be seen in everyday life and on the football field. A master in the art of the beautiful game, Ioana won bronze with her team, ACS Fair Play, in the U17 National Championship.

At the same time, her performance was noticed by the jury of the competition, and at the end of the tournament, she was named the best player of the final tournament.

Fellow footballer Răzvan Florea received one of the best news of his career. After a season of outstanding performances for his club team, Răzvan Florea has been called up to Romania’s U17 national team. The GO Scholarship athlete will go on a training camp with the other players in the squad.

The RobotX team has taken its first steps in the International Space Station project!

The team formed by Maria Alexa, Alexandru Budiul, and Luca Rădos took the first steps in the completion of one of the biggest projects of the RobotX partner team.

With the help of a special camera equipped with a special near-infrared filter, the camera managed to capture 931 photos during two rotations around the Earth.

Using these photos, the RobotX team can determine the health of the vegetation on Earth by calculating each pixel in the image using the Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NVDI).

Over the next few days, the team will make all the necessary calculations and the resulting report will be submitted to the European Space Agency at the end of June.

Science is taking small steps towards evolution, and we are happy to be an important support in the development of science and technology.

The good news continues for RobotX team!

RobotX

The outstanding projects that the RobotX team prepares in the workshop in Hunedoara attract more and more awards and qualifications in the competitive world of robotics. Passionate about robotics and united like a family, the little scientists of the RobotX team managed to complete an important project in the robotics club and to offer a small part of their experience to several children from the school in the village of Teliucu-Inferior. The results were also quick to come for them, and the qualifications and competitive experiences brought immeasurable satisfaction to the teenagers in the club.

Alexia Neamțu is back after a SuperExperience in Houston!

Qualified for the Dean’s List Award grand final, Alexia went to Houston with her mentor Adrian Budiul to present her projects to the American jury. It was a whole new experience for the young finalist. As a student ambassador, Alexia represented Romania and the RobotX club at the most prestigious competition in the world of robotics.

Although her projects were appreciated by the American jury, Alexia was not among the 10 winners of this edition, but the fabulous experience and the opportunity to exhibit her own creations at the highest level represented the greatest joy for our countrywoman. We congratulate her and keep our fingers crossed for her in future competitions.

Maria is a Rise for the World finalist!

A member of the RobotX team and a finalist in the international Rise for the World project, Maria is ready to take robotics to the next level. The Rise for the World project offers winners study facilities and funding for sustainable projects to save humanity.

Maria has prepared an excellent solution for heating and cooling homes using thermoelectric module panels.

Last year, Brianna achieved a unique feat and won the Rise for the World final. This year, Maria is following in her footsteps with a revolutionary idea to tackle one of the biggest crises facing humanity. We are confident in Maria’s project and support her all the way.

ROSPIN’s fantastic 6

Six students, members of the RobotX and RavenTech teams, have completed the project for the Romanian Space Initiative (ROSPIN).

Alex Budiul, Maria Alexa, Andrei Mitican, Sebastian Duman and Alexia Ioana Neamțu designed a mission to the Moon in which thermoelectric panels can be used to power the future lunar station.

They have succeeded in making preliminary calculations for a rocket that can send 20T of payload into space. Their plan was to equip a lunar base and create a lunar geolocation satellite system and a telecommunications satellite system for the far side of the moon.

Their plan also involves sending an electron accelerator to the moon to test the possibility of electrostatic deflection of dangerous asteroids.

A joy for the little ones, a joy for us!

In their free time when innovation and projects take their own break, RobotX team members share their passion with rural school students.

At the end of April, the RobotX team paid a visit to students at Teliucu-Inferior Secondary School. They were quickly captivated by the magic of robots and the science behind them, which sparked interactive discussions between the team and the little learners.

Passions are shared, and our partners at RobotX love to show the little ones some of the mysteries of robotics.

Superbet Foundation has become the partner of RobotX team!

Superbet Foundation has become partner of the most awarded robotics club in Romania. With a history of more than 7 years and 10 gold medals won at international competitions and international robotics fairs, RobotX team will have also this year (2023) a finalist in the Dean’s List Award competition in Houston.

Alexia Neamțu, a student of Traian Lălescu High School in Hunedoara and a great robotics and technology enthusiast, will represent Romania this year in one of the biggest robotics competitions in the world.

Last year (2022), the RobotX team had Brianna Alexandra Stan, the first non-US winner of the competition, in the Dean’s List Award final.

With support from the Superbet Foundation, this year Team RobotX will send Alexia Neamțu and her mentor Adrian Budiul to the grand final of the competition in Houston.

Alexia’s team creations include “Reliability of electronics in space”, “Click-in” (a system of interconnectable, 3D-printed components) and “Digital Thermometer” (a digital thermometer that consists only of a calibrated copper wire so that its electrical resistance is displayed on a digital multimeter as an absolute temperature).

The Superbet Foundation supports the passion for robotics and technology of the young generation and we want to popularize these fields among schools in Romania.
